a reproductive guild (q.v.) where adhesive eggs are carried in clusters or balls on the spongy skin of the belly, the back, under the pectoral or pelvic fins, or on a hook in the supraoccipital region, or encircled within cols of the female\'s body. Embryonic respiratory circulation and pigments are well develped, e.g. Xenopoecilus oophorus, Kurtus gulliveri, Loricaria piracicalae
